RIP Assay Kits for the Immunoprecipitation of Ribonucleoproteins from Cell Extracts

MBL have developed two RIP assay kits which enable the immunoprecipitation of mRNA-RBP (RNA binding protein) complexes with RBP specific antibodies.
RIP-Chip works on the same principle as the widely used ChIP-chip. It is the immunoprecipitatation of ribonucleoproteins (RNP) from cell extracts using an antibody raised against the RBP of interest. This procedure is then followed by microarray analysis.
MBL provide 2 RIP assay kits:
The RIP-assay kit for RNA for the immunoprecipitation of mRNP complexes and isolation of mRNA
The RIP-assay kit for microRNA, for the immunoprecipitation of mRNP complexes and isolation of functionally related mRNAs and miRNAs. The kit provides 3 different protocols for either the 1) isolation of small RNAs 2) simultaneous isolation of both small and large RNAs 3) separate isolation of small and large RNAs .
For RIP-assay starter kits, see here , these kits contain a trial size of the RIP certified antibody (40 ug) and the full sized version the RN1001.
Principles of RIP-Assay Kit

1). Biological approach to find functionally related genes f disease pathways
2). Analyse post-transcriptional regulated genes
3). Establish novel components of cellular pathways
4). Identify new drug mechanisms
5). Identification of RNAs in RNP complexes can be done in a few hours
6). Largest selection of antibodies validated for RNA-binding protein immunoprecipitation

  2. This is the finest way of bringing attention towards your blog. WOW! Thanks so much for the wonderful tutorial! I just featured it on my blog today! Love, love, love it! Good info. Luckily, I browsed your website accidentally, I bookmarked RIP Assay Kits for the Immunoprecipitation of Ribonucleoproteins from Cell Extracts. Thanks a lot for this contribution it's been very useful for me.
